So, in my search for new werewolf novels (my favorite genre) to read, I discovered that Beauty and the Beast came up with werewolves in it.There are no werewolves in this book. I believe that no werewolves were harmed in the writing of this book. Really.
Instead, you get one of the most heart-warming stories ever. Seriously - ever. You will cheer for Alex and Calli (hey, it's Beauty and the Beast - we all know how it ends). It's the getting there that's the fun. They are people you would want to know in real life. Even the fathers. I will echo several reviewers that said they wished the book was longer. I do as well. I will read this again. And again.
I must comment on the cover: what is it with paranormals these days? Every book has either slinky woman, a shirtless guy, several girls, several guys...huh? The cover of this book does not in any way reflect what is on the inside. Don't let it throw you. Publishers - cut it out - we buy books on the summaries, not the cover (you know that whole "do not judge a book by its cover" thing). We don't.

Beautiful Beast Enchanted Fairytales Book 1 eBook Cindy C Bennett Reviews
For a short novella, I loved this book. I read it during my breaks at work and keep wanting to go back and read more and more. I wished it was longer but I almost always wish that of my novellas. There was a little disconnect about her friend Eli. He was to come to the party but we do not know if he showed up and he appears distant at the end. I would love to have seen Eli explode at Alex for kissing Calli and for her to defend Alex. To me that would have explained the distance at the end. What happened to Jennae cause she was not mentioned at the end either. But other than these minor disconnects (and I mean minor) the book was so endearing.
Alex oh Alex I think I loved him even before Calli (that could be because I was in his head) because he is so caring and loving. What girl or women would not want a guy like Alex. Calli is beautiful on the outside but she is more than that because she is even more beautiful on the inside. I really wanted more but with it being apart of Cindy Bennett's Fairy tale modernization anthology I understand. I can't wait for the Rapunzel book in 2013.
I loved this book better than Beastly because Alex was this way because he tried to do the impossible and also because he is not "change back." Alex still has the scars and he has to still live with them. Also he is not a "beautiful beast" he is just beautiful.
A MODERN DAY TELLING OF THE BEATY AND THE BEAST STORY
I loved it, I couldn't put it down, beautifuly told, I feel in love with beauty Calli and the beast Alex, if I could give it a ten I would, I recommend it to anyone who just wants a great story.

Generally I'm not that fond of self published titles, but I've read some of Cindy Bennett's traditionally published work before and so I figured this was a pretty safe bet. I really enjoyed the contemporary take on the classic tale of Beauty and the Beast. It was very short and I read it in one sitting.
There were some elements to the story that I didn't find believable, but chose to overlook them. There were some grammatical issues that drove me a bit crazy, like using the wrong spelling for the same word over and over. But other than the little things like that, I really enjoyed the book. It was a fun, romantic teen read that stayed nice and clean throughout.
The characters were fun and I enjoyed their teasing and bantering. Callie has a bright personality and she is able to win over just about everyone she come in contact with. Alex is complex, and carries a lot of weight emotionally and physically. Callie quickly looks past Alex's appearance to uncover the beautiful person underneath the skin.
This is such a sweet story! I absolutely LOVED it! I really like Beauty and The Beast retellings, and this one is fabulous. I couldn't help but cheer for Calli and Alex. The author has a wonderful way of painting the scenes in your mind as if you were there. She makes you want to be friends with the characters you are reading about, and I loved that. This is a sweet, clean story, which I also loved. This book is short, but it didn't feel like it when I was reading it. The story didn't feel rushed or anything like that. It was wonderful. I just wished it was longer. I love finding a book that as I finish the last page, all I want to do is pick the book up and start it all over again. And that's exactly how I felt with this story. So. Good. I highly recommend this book!
I absolutely loved this story and the writing! The h is just a beautiful soul inside and out and the H is just a tormented and confused heart waiting to me saved.... I don't usually do reviews but I had to for this book because it deserves a lot more reviews than it has...
This is a contemporary story of the Beauty and the Beast. It's a YA book with no sex or bad language. It was exactly what i was looking for to read...emotionally charged light hearted love story... No pretenses just pure love and sweetness...Parts of the story were heart wrenching and parts were just plain hilarious. This book has it all..
It's a short read (my only gripe about this book) I was able to finish it in a few hours, but it is soo worth it! I definitely recommend!
